Got an impressive piece of work here from deep house DJ Dru Houston. As the title suggests, this set is somewhat exploratory, moving from minimal work through to the quite melodic, and a couple of surprises thrown in I think you’ll quite like! This is an old but groovey set from 2004 mixed by Ben Watt live at Club Fg. I believe he is best known for his role in the duo, Everything but the Girl alongside Tracey Thorn. His own Buzzin’ Fly mix cd series. As well as the Lazy Dog series with Jay Hannan. Now, the quality isn’t the best but it just sounds so… nostalgic. Like back in the day when you would record your favourite radio shows to tape and just play the shit to death… you know…

Once again there is no track list, sorry. But I promise you won’t be disappointed. For me, this is just the kind of music that makes me fall in love with her all over again.

Please don’t shoot me but my first post is in fact one of my own. I’ve had a couple up before so some of you should know me, please check out my latest offering. My stuff is typically funky/deep house, although I vary from uptempo deep through to almost straight funky house, with some jackin thrown in on occasion. Starts with some mellow funky/deep sounds and slowly builds through to vocal bouncey funk tracks. I love the tracks, all pretty recent, I think it came out well - hope you think so too.
